Kara Nefouse

Kara Nefouse began practicing yoga in 2003 when the stress of a corporate desk job drove her to return to some of the purer elements of life. Having grown up in the fitness industry and enthusiastically participating in adventure racing, she was compelled to seek solace in some type of physical pursuit. This instinct, in a dual attempt to exercise both mind and body, led her to the practice of yoga. By 2009 Kara’s practice evolved into a full time career. In conjunction with her yogic roots, she is equally skilled and certified in Pilates, Spinning, Kettlebell and Personal Training. The core tenets of her approach are alignment, awareness and diversity. Kara takes frequent sojourns to spiritually stimulating destinations (Europe, Central America, Asia) to further her on-going education and refresh her knowledge of current teachings. The most recent trip was to Thailand, where she spent a month with Briohny Smyth and Dice Iida-Klein and received her 200-Hour Fit-Flow-Fly Certification. Kara is a big believer in continuing education and has completed numerous workshops with names like Maty Ezraty, Kathryn Budig, Noah Maze, Kino MacGregor and Sadie Nardini. Any class she instructs will be an open incorporation of new information, and insight into a mindfully practiced routine. Kara’s students experience a challenging and fun class, leaving them feeling refreshed and energized!

Ahna Hoke

Ahna began practicing yoga in 1995 in her central Pennsylvania hometown. She has been teaching since 2001 and is a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level. Ahna has studied extensively at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Massachusetts, as well as in the style of Anusara Yoga. Over the years she has studied with many world renowned teachers receiving 1200 hours of training in different modalities of Hatha Yoga. The life affirming philosophy of Anusara Yoga along with its elegant principles of alignment have influenced her personal practice to become more graceful and heart centered. In addition, she has over 135 hour of advanced pranayama (yogic breathing) and meditation training and feels strongly that the breath is the link that brings the mind, body, and spirit together. With the practice of pranayama, proper alignment, and opening to the flow of life, she will lead you through a practice that is uplifting and strengthening, inviting the wisdom of your heart to direct you into a state of self awareness. Ahna's teachings are down to earth and include plenty of playfulness and humor. She has a deep passion for anatomy & physiology, meditation and pranayama and is the director and primary teacher of Invoke Yoga Studio's accredited 200 hour yoga teacher training program. She enjoys instructing beginners as well as advanced practitioners.

Yvonne Rodriguez

Yvonne’s journey began in 2005 when a friend insisted she attend a Yoga class with her. From that first experience on the mat, her passion for Yoga was born. Since then, she has been drawn towards both the spiritual and physical components of yoga and the constant challenges that it provides her. Yvonne completed her first training in 2009 with Christina Sell. Relocating to Indianapolis from Texas, Yvonne utilized the lessons learned on her mat to aid in her transition to this beautiful city where she completed her second 200 hr training under Eric Bryant and Ahna Hoke. Yoga has become a fundamental way of life for her, allowing an outlet to cope with one's daily struggles. Yvonne believes that anyone can benefit from practicing yoga whether it be to heal a physical ailment or provide guidance for one’s life toward a positive transformation and enlightenment. Her style cultivates a playful environment where movement with breath and the yoking of body, mind, and spirit are encouraged.
Vinyasa Yoga - Level 2 - All levels welcome. This yoga class offers vinyasa style flow with specific emphasis on alignment and form. The flow will move a bit slower to allow students adequate time to fine tune the form of each pose. Proper alignment offers the greatest opportunity for the breath to flow freely and create balance in mind, body and spirit. All levels are welcome. The instructor will present different options for the less experienced student and for the advanced yogi.
