Bar Effect class - Level 2

Annie Marshall

Annie first joined the Invoke community as a prenatal yoga student in 2010. After the birth of her daughter, she continued to deepen her yoga practice as well as expand her fitness routine to include Pilates and Bar Effect. Her love for barre workouts in particular led her to complete the Bar Effect teacher training and receive her certification in 2016. She continues to enjoy a strong yoga practice and a variety of Pilates workouts as a fun way to manage the stress of daily life and her full time career. She enjoys offering challenging upbeat classes and loves watching her students grow stronger with each session.

Abby Hall

When Abby attended her first Pilates class after graduating college and moving to Indianapolis it was love at first sight! A perfect change of pace from her usual gym and running routine, after a few classes she was hooked. She loved how she felt after each and every class, and the noticeable changes in muscle definition and tone were not bad either! While gearing up for her wedding and starting a new job, a co-worker introduced her to Invoke Studio, and Abby’s heart was stolen once more by their Bar Effect™ classes. Pushing her body at each class felt great, but the evident increase in strength and endurance left her wanting more. Wishing to inspire this enthusiasm of Pilates and Bar Effect™ into others, Abby jumped at the idea of becoming a teacher! Learning more with each class and through personal practice, she loves up-beat, high energy classes that will really push your body and make you feel the burn! Abby recently trained with Balanced Body and is also a Registered Dietitian. She truly believes in the phrase “everything in moderation…except for planks, which you can never do enough!”

Lindsey Turner

Lindsey is a former professional ballet dancer. Her deep appreciation for the benefits of combining Pilates with other physical practices is a crucial component of her approach to teaching. She took her first Pilates reformer session while studying ballet at the School of American Ballet in New York City. Lindsey spent the next 10 years traveling the world as a professional ballet dancer. She started as a student at Invoke four years ago, and became a Peak Pilates instructor in 2011.

Lindsey Springer

Lindsey began doing Mat Pilates as a regular way to break up her 9-5 work day in 2007. Noticing a change in her energy level and body within a matter of weeks, she was forever hooked on Pilates from that point on. She started teaching in 2008 and soon left the corporate world altogether to pursue a challenging career in fitness instruction, including Barre, Pilates Equipment and Mat Pilates.
 
Trained through Balanced Bodies, she learned that Pilates is for every body type. She safely challenges all her clients' to meet their goals and increase their flexibility, strength and balance. Her passion for Pilates inspired her to further her education and returned to college to study kinesiology, the study of body mechanics. She dreams of one day traveling the world to share her knowledge of Pilates and kinesiology, and to train other aspiring Pilates instructors.

Betsey Clark

After making a move to Indianapolis in 2016, Betsey started attending Invoke to get her yoga fix and it quickly became her second home. Within a few months she found herself in a Bar Effect class and was instantly hooked. Soon after, adding Pilates classes as well, she found what had been missing from her prior fitness routine and failed gym memberships.

She loved that by attending the Bar Effect classes she quickly noticed changes in areas of her body and muscle groups that she had failed to target with past workouts; all while, actually enjoying the challenges and exercises presented in each class, not counting down the minutes until it was over. Wanting to share this new-found love with others, Betsey decided to take the journey a step further and completed her Bar Effect Certification in the spring of 2017.

Bar Effect class - Level 2 - Bar Effect™ features all the core toning elements of pilates and yoga with the booty and thigh sculpting effects of ballet barre work.  We will incorporate lengthening and strengthening ballet barre and yoga moves with approximately 25 minutes of abdominal mat work. Your regular class package can be used to attend this class! No previous experience required.
