Pilates Mat - Level 1/2

Kelly O'Brian

Kelly has been involved in the health and fitness field since graduating from Purdue in 2006 with a degree in Health & Kinesiology. She really began to realize her passion for Pilates when she went back to school to earn an A.S. as a Physical Therapy Assistant. As Kelly began working in the physical therapy field she noticed
how Pilates and therapy meshed together, and how well her patients benefited from Pilates type treatments. Due to her therapy background, Kelly really enjoys helping clients overcome, work through, and prevent injuries. Kelly also reaps the benefits of Pilates
by participating in classes herself which have helped her feel stronger and prevent injuries while training for & running half & full marathons.

Bailey Croke

Developing a passion for ballet at a young age, movement has always been a fundamental part of Bailey's life. She spent many years studying different forms of dance and participating in intensives, workshops, performances and competitions to further her training. After graduating from Indiana University and entering the working world, Bailey quickly fell in love pilates, yoga, and barre classes to keep up the activity and discipline that she had with dance. In 2013, she took a step back into the dance world and discovered a surprising new passion in teaching. Wanting to explore that further, Bailey decided to bring her love for pilates and teaching together and completed the Peak Pilates Certification in June 2015. As an enthusiastic Pilates instructor, Bailey loves to teach a challenging and revitalizing class to help students challenge their core, balance, flexibility and strength to improve overall movement quality, mind/body connection and physical vitality.

Lindsey Springer

Lindsey began doing Mat Pilates as a regular way to break up her 9-5 work day in 2007. Noticing a change in her energy level and body within a matter of weeks, she was forever hooked on Pilates from that point on. She started teaching in 2008 and soon left the corporate world altogether to pursue a challenging career in fitness instruction, including Barre, Pilates Equipment and Mat Pilates.
 
Trained through Balanced Bodies, she learned that Pilates is for every body type. She safely challenges all her clients' to meet their goals and increase their flexibility, strength and balance. Her passion for Pilates inspired her to further her education and returned to college to study kinesiology, the study of body mechanics. She dreams of one day traveling the world to share her knowledge of Pilates and kinesiology, and to train other aspiring Pilates instructors.

Alba Fernandez-Keys

Alba took her first Pilates class in 2003 and yoga soon after that while searching a low-impact alternative to Brazilian Capoeira. The transition felt very natural as the mindfulness, grace and precision inherent in martial arts transferred seamlessly into a mat practice. She soon found that the Classical Pilates flow was not only extremely challenging but also a beautiful moving meditation. Alba believes that movement keeps the body healthy and teaches us to become sensitive to its changing needs. Her love for Pilates led her to pursue comprehensive (mat and reformer) training through Peak Pilates. She completed her Level 2 certification in early 2016. When not on the mat or reformer you will most likely find Alba riding her bicycle or walking her two mastiffs.
Pilates Mat - Level 1/2 - Our group pilates mat classes strengthen your core strength, the key to good posture and a healthy back. We combine traditional pilates mat exercises with other fun strength and flexibility moves to focus on firming and toning your body. Open to all levels.
